Inside Hospitality Report Launch
Following on from the informative insights from last year’s Inside Hospitality report, the 2022 Inside Hospitality Report will be launched on Tuesday 26th April. To mark the launch, we will be holding a breakfast briefing at OXO Tower Restaurant & Bar from 8:30am – 11am.
Community Spotlight – Victoria Idowu (Chef Vickz)
Victoria Idowu, or Chef Vickz, is a private chef working for 5 years in the industry. Victoria currently works for Stormzy, but in the past, she has worked for other celebrities and sports stars like Michael Dapaah, Dave, as well as with duo Krept and Konan for their Crepes and Cones restaurant.
Community Spotlight – Rishim Sachdeva
Rishim Sachdeva is head chef at the vegan restaurant Tendril, currently in residency at Soho pub The Sun & 13 Cantons. He has held senior positions at some of the UK’s top restaurants, including The Fat Duck, Almeida, The Dairy, and Chiltern Firehouse.

Community Spotlight – Sebastian Pasinetti
Sebastian Pasinetti is the Head of Partnerships at Kelly’s Cause Foundation, who train Mental Health First Aiders in the hospitality industry across the UK. Having worked in the industry, Sebastian is dedicated to creating safe and mentally healthy environments everywhere he goes and is passionate about advocating for space for LGBTQIA+ individuals in hospitality.

Veganuary is a non-profit organisation that encourages people worldwide to try vegan for the month of January and beyond.
This month we are shining a spotlight on four phenomenal vegan chefs – Safiya, Rachel, Sara and Sareta.
Inside Hospitality Survey Launched
Be Inclusive Hospitality launched the 2021 Inside Hospitality Survey with a webinar ‘Insights into Action’. On Monday 22nd November, Be Inclusive Hospitality invited organisations and employees to learn more about the importance of Research and Insights to accelerate change, followed by a Q&A.
Community Spotlight – Cyan Wong
Cyan Wong is a London-based bartender and drinks consultant. Having originally gone to art school, she instead found herself passionate about drinks. She has worked in bars around the world, as well as opening some herself. Cyan currently works with different brands, including Madre Mezcal.
Diversity and Inclusion Reflections
Nena Foster, the Be Inclusive Hospitality D&I lead shares her reflections following the release of the Inside Hospitality Report in June 21, and the recently launched Inside Hospitality Survey in November 21.
Black Women in Hospitality Celebrated for Black History Month
Black History Month was successfully rounded off with another sell-out event, Black Women In Hospitality. In collaboration with Akwasi Brenya-Mensa at Somerset House, the night began with the refreshing welcome drink ‘Sapele Special’ with ingredient’s Pedro’s Premium Ogogoro, Lemon and Rosemary Syrup.
Community Spotlight – Luke West-Whylie
Luke West-Whylie is the co-owner of the wine bar/ restaurant Peckham Cellars. He’s worked in the wine industry since 2015 and enjoys serving his community. Leading the front of house, he is a lover of wines with high acidity and vibrancy.

Adejoké ‘Joké’ Bakare is a Nigerian-born chef, the founder and owner of West African restaurant Chishuru. Originally a home cook hosting dinner parties and supper clubs, she launched last in Brixton.
