About the Scheme

The Elevate Mentorship is a carefully designed six-month programme that fosters both professional and personal growth among its participants.

Since its launch in 2021, the programme has supported more than 160 mentees and provided over 1,000 hours of mentorship.

Funded by the Savoy Educational Trust, applications are now open for our seventh cohort, supporting ethnically diverse chefs aged 18–25 across the UK.

Our mentors are accomplished head chefs, executive chefs and chef-founders who are committed to helping chefs aged 18–25 build confidence, broaden their industry knowledge and navigate their career development..

To date, 75% of mentees have achieved their goals during or after the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

Below is a summary of the eligibility criteria. Before applying, please read the full scheme terms and conditions, available here.

Background

This programme supports underrepresented chefs who identify as Black, Asian or from another ethnic minority background.

Residency Status

Applicants must be UK citizens or nationals, or have permanent UK residency.

Employment

Mentee chefs must have been employed within the hospitality industry for at least 12 months.

Applications close 25th September 2026 at 11:59pm.

    Option A – Written Application

    Option B – Video Application

    Instead of completing a written application, you may submit a video application lasting no more than seven minutes. Upload your video to YouTube as an unlisted video, or to Vimeo, Dropbox or Google Drive, then paste the shareable link below. Please ensure that the interviewer has permission to view it.
