What do you most enjoy about this industry?
The people and the passion, I was a very passionate chef, and to see passion day in day out is great. Whether chef, sommelier, waiter, or maître d, its evident, and the end result of it all coming together is great service.
Tell us something we might not know about your field?
From a recruitment perspective, the large amounts of people applying for positions that do not even get past the front door. You can send off your CV, and most of the time it passed by an ATS system, and is not seen by a human, the outcome is many great people missing out because the computer says no.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I work from my home office for the recruitment agency, and my days include emails, development calls, speaking to chefs, and my business partner.
Single most important piece of advice given to you?
To think about what is important to me, what are my short term and long-term goals. Once clear on my goals, focus on what I am trying to achieve.

Technology and sustainability, and the two go hand in hand. Technology, the business who survive will be those able to get their name and voice out there. Sustainability is something that cannot be dismissed, but needs a lot more focus.
