In October, there is an annual celebration of the history, achievements and contributions of black people in the UK. Be Inclusive Hospitality will host several special events, interviews and giveaways to celebrate Black History Month this year.
On the 26th and 28th October at 8pm, Be Inclusive Hospitality will hold a two-part series called ‘Black in Hospitality‘. The discussion will feature professionals, leaders and role models across hospitality, discussing food and drink. Live-streamed on YouTube, panellists include Managing Director and Co-Founder of Ikoyi Ire Hassan-Odukale, Author Riaz Phillips and Beer Sommelier Marverine Cole. The event is sponsored by some of the best up and coming black-owned brands; EKO Brewery, Life of a Tree, Shwen Shwen, Cham Cham, Wordford & Warner and Dane’s Caribbean Jerk it Up Sauce. Furthermore, Be Inclusive Hospitality will be sharing several interviews, perspectives and experiences of the black members of the Hospitality sector. Be Inclusive Hospitality founder Lorraine Copes will speak to celebrity chef and entrepreneur Levi Roots to discuss his experience and success.
Lastly, throughout the month, Be Inclusive Hospitality will be talking to Black chefs, professionals and entrepreneurs about heritage. The series will share stories of food and heritage, shining a light on the diversity that exists within Black British heritage. Black History Month 2020 promises to be one to remember celebrating excellence within the Black community across Hospitality.
